I loved it!
I can't rate this any lower than 5/5. It's an overall incredible little game. From the music to the visuals, sfx, and game feel it's just perfect. Great work!
Pretty fun concept! The game is really polished in all aspects, my only complaint is that there's not enough of it.
Pretty fun concept, although a little bit short and nothing mindblowing (it's not trying to be, anyways). Most levels, but especially the last one, are more complex than they look. You'll probably think you've solved it about three times before you actually do it on each one. Graphics are nicely pixely and the sfx are alright. Nice game!
Really unique music and visuals. Even hecking good storytelling (who knew?). It kind of loses the novelty that the first one had, but it's just fun and obviously made with a lot of care.
Nice idea. And gosh, so many people didn't play Snake. The controls work exactly as they worked on the original thing.
I'm not sure if I like the fact that if you collide with something you automatically lose. I think it's too punishing. Maybe just add 3 or 4 points to the paddle's score? Also, i'd really like it if the snake would get bigger each time you hit the ball but reset with each game, like an alternative play mode or something. It's such a nice concept I can't stop thinking of different ways it could play out or mechanics that could be added. Good job!
Oh, also I think it'd be cool if it gave you the option to pick paddle or snake on multiplayer. Of course you thought about it and it wouldn't be much innovation but still having the option could be cool. Or each round you switch "characters" with the other person, I dunno.
yeah, those are some great Ideas!
I thought of only some of them, but decided to make the game as simple as possible, to keep it pure. Might not have been the best decision!
But i do not own the idea, so please feel encouraged to make all of those things, i would love to check them out ;)
Really nice thing with really nice music! Loved every second of it.
Fun little game made out of love. It's not anything new but if the formula works why change it. The qr puzzles are okay, I liked the idea but I didn't like that there was two of them, after the surprise wears off they are more of a chore than an actual puzzle where you have to, you know, think. I didn't grab a key on the first room (by accident) and missed completely the qr puzzle on the second room so I had to figure out how to unlock it completely on my own by having level awareness, which was actually fun. The pixel art is neat and looks pretty good but a minor nitpick is that the pixels aren't respected as pixels, like, if you tap walk you'll end up with your character between two pixels. The music is okay but feels a bit repetitive. It does blend well with the rest of the game so that's nice. The gameplay is what you'd expect from a zelda-like game and it feels good to control the character. The writing is fun, it doesn't take itself seriously (at all) and I'm fine with that, it's the kind of thing you'll only get from small indie thingies. It was worth the time it takes and I had fun... Nice work, dude!
Thanks a lot for this great review and valuable feedback! I'm glad that you enjoyed Knightin'. And I enjoyed reading your review as well :)
Really cute little game with nice graphics and music. Please make it so you can also move by pressing the d-pad on the xbox controller! Platforming with an analog stick isn't the best. Good luck with the full release!
I like making music and games.
